Pavel Unger, Opera Slovakia, 26 October 2025Young bass Ivan Lyvch, a finalist at this year’s prestigious Belvedere International Singing Competition, showed himself at his best in his first major role as Figaro: a voice pleasingly coloured and cultivatedly produced, with a rich, sonorous low range.
„Mladý basista Ivan Lyvch (…) sa v prvej veľkej úlohe Figara ukázal v najlepšom svetle. Má veľmi príjemne sfarbený a kultivovane vedený hlas, môže sa chváliť sýtou a zvučnou hlbokou polohou."
eCulturebase, 2025Lyvch’s bass is gorgeous: coloured and carrying, capable of handling the intense dramatic situations this character demanded.
„Lyvchov bas je prekrásny, farebný a nosný, schopný zhostiť sa vypätých dramatických situácií, ktoré si táto postava vyžadovala."
musicpress.sk, 2023Clear diction and bel-canto ease at the top of the voice. His expression was meaningful and his dynamic shading well differentiated. The audience rewarded this bravura performance with loud applause.
